The heartbreak of an empty driveway....

Opened the garage door this morning to head out and was met with an empty space where my box had been parked. :cry:

If anyone spots a Polar White '06 Xb, Texas tags 403 LTP, with sonar projectors, TYC tails, black grill and of course Sciko stickers in the rear side windows let me know.

Parked in the driveway of my house. Had motion sensor lights that the thief/thieves disabled. No broken glass or any evidence of break-in damage to the vehicle while it was in the driveway.....

just gone.

New news....

Richardson PD called me this afternoon to notify me that they found my box.

Apparently the thieves took it to an empty house that is for sale six blocks away from my house and broke into the garage and used it to strip my car.

The owner of the house does not live there and had not been to the property since sometime in February.

He came by over the weekend to check on his property and found my car in his garage.

The front bumper, grill, headlights, fenders, hood, intake manifold, alternator and other engine parts, rear tail lights, air bags, center console, center dash panel, radio, gauges, wheels and maybe a door or two as well as lots of small stuff was gone/removed.

I'm glad the insurance company owns it now. (I settled last week before it was found.)

The police are fingerprinting it and collecting other potential evidence as they can.

It seems to have been a professional job and that my ride was planned to be stolen.

I was told that it is common for professional car thief rings to have people join car clubs to collect information and make note of select cars for future theft.

Also, keep an eye out in your areas for potential empty homes for sale that might make convenient "chop shops"

If anyone is buying any used 1st gen Xb body parts look out for it on the factory tags that are put on all major body parts and don't buy anything that has had the tag removed or altered. It is probably stolen. New parts come with a blank tag.

Thanks guys. I miss my box, but lovin' the xD. I've already done several low budget mods to make it my own. Can't wait to get some coin and lower it. I thought the xB1 looked high stock, but the xD sits so high it makes them look like lowriders. :mrb:
