Seattle Scikotics Do Exist Right?!

Im asking this because i NEVER see anyone representing anywhere, i only met 1 member, and its just not active. I feel like you guys are only active online and not off.

I started the Seattle chapter of ScionDrivenGirls and we've only had 2 meets so far and already i feel like it's more active than the Seattle chapter of scikotics. In order to stay active i try to get our group more involved in community stuff like the upcoming dog-a-thon and events like Toyota fest and whatnot.


If we dont start acting like a group and participating in more things as a group then im gonna have to resign. Ima go about this like a relationship: We're gonna try to work this out and do more things together or we're gonna have to break up.

The problem is that cars aren't exactly a big thing up north. Once you get further south down into Tacoma/Auburn and whatnot, you start getting a lot more people interested, a lot more tuning shops and all of that.

As for me, I'm not particularly in to the show mentality.

I agree with Benilda -- your chapter won't grow, much less succeed, if people don't make effort to hang out together and go to car shows. Even if you aren't into car shows -- it helps the club to just represent.

Sheeps is the ONLY member i met who was scikotics besides mocascion who's a fellow SDG.

We dont have to necassarily do car shows, we could just hang out or do community events to help get the name out there. Something!

Well you are on the right track, just dont get discourage by the fact that there are not a lot more Scikotics in your area, you can try your hardest to get it going and it will take some work and time, but it will happend, i have formed and ran about 4 clubs and is hard to get them started, once is established and people know, then is a smooth sailing(almost). Also the show scene helps out ALOT, just for the simple fact that more than likely thats where you going to meet up the fellow scion owners, i think that you are in need of some business cards and hand them out as you see scions around you. i mean not for nothing but you are a girl and a nice looking one an you are Boricua, so you have all to your advantage on getting peoples attention and getting them to join..

We knew Brad was going to be busy for a while, he had to take on another job and he had an accident. But, that doesn't explain what happenned to the rest of the chapter.

I'm kind of worried about Michael (sheep). He hasn't logged in here since the 18th and he he was one of the biggest postwhores on the site.

Benilda, sorry about the situation in Seattle, but as a member you can suggest these events to get things going. I am not sure what's up with Sheep, but I'm sure he would also like to get things going. We don't want to lose any member from lack of events, socializing or any other reason.
PM your other chapter members and ask them for a get together.

Hey Benilda.....we are attempting to do more. It is just that most of the people are further north than you and I as well as not into the show aspect. Though I agree that there should be more repping at the events, we can't force anyone to do anything. If you don't have my number, ask me and i will send it to you that way we can make the biggest showing possible. You know me, I am all about showing off my car. It is just to bad so many politics are involved. Oh well, shit happens.

Here's the question thats been working for me to get new members. I just ask them to ask the S/E reps "where does the money go ?" ( a little over $40,000 a year) and then just tell them to read thier by-laws and oh BTW did I mention " We don't have dues and member fees!"
