That's what I meant, AEM, not Injen. Gotta forgive me, I can only get on here at work when nobodies looking.

So is that true about AEM?

The 08 has the carbon filter like the tC right? So if you are in cali that intake is illegal. k and n has made a carb legal one for the tC. so it should just be a bit longer for the xB.

They don't check any of that around here. God help the day they do. :wallb:

AEM is proud to introduce its Cold Air intake system for the 2008 Scion xB (part# 21-577)! The largest power gains are 6.8 horsepower and 7.3 lbs/ft of torque as measured at the wheels on the company’s Mustang dynamometer. This system is available with our new gun metal 2-stage powdercoat or mirror-polished finish.Dyno results and a description of AEM’s dyno and temperature testing procedures are on the company’s website at www.aempower.com (http://www.aempower.com).

AEM Air Induction Systems are dyno-tested against the competition to deliver unsurpassed performance. We tune each system right on the vehicle to deliver maximum torque and horsepower at every throttle position, and monitor OBDII sensors during this process to eliminate the chance of throwing a check engine light.

All AEM intakes are constructed of CNC, mandrel-bent 6061 aluminum, and feature reinforced, TIG-welded brackets and fittings for maximum durability. AEM also includes a complete hardware kit and comprehensive installation instructions with every AEM intake system.

All AEM intakes now include AEM’s revolutionary DRYFLOW synthetic performance air filter, the first cleanable, reusable performance air filter that does not require oiling to filter and trap dirt and contaminants (more DRYFLOW key features can be found below).

DRYFLOW Air Filter Key Features:

• Will NOT void your vehicle’s warranty!
• No oil eliminates chance of under- or over-oiling, takes guesswork out of servicing
• Filter element cleans in minutes and is Guaranteed for Life!
• Unique filter media is independently tested at 98.6% initial filtration efficiency (99.4% cumulative efficiency) to particles as small as one micron, based on ISO 5011:2000 FINE DUST performance testing. Typical four-layer cotton-gauze oiled filter initial efficiency is 90% to 95% in FINE DUST testing. Visit www.aempower.com (http://www.aempower.com) for independent filtration test results
• A mineral reinforced plastic interior cage increases structural rigidity—it’s virtually impossible to collapse! No mesh screen means no more filter damage from bumps during installation or cleaning and no corrosion damage

All AEM Cold Air systems are C.A.R.B.-exempt or pending C.A.R.B exemption (excluding Off Road systems), and carry a lifetime warranty.

AEM products are Engineered To Outperform. The company designs and manufactures high-quality street and race performance products that are distributed worldwide. AEM headquarters is based in Hawthorne, California.
