Check it out, I talked to the pres. of Heatwave today and hooked us up with a discount. Depending on how many people we can get to go the discount goes up.

It's not a huge discount but it $5 off if we have 10 and $10 of if we have 30, thats for either pass too.

That would make the All access pass $50 and it would get you registered for the show, 2 passes for the show, 2 passes for the Paul Wall concert, and 2 passes for the wet t-shirt concert.

The regualr pass is $30, that gets you registered for the show and 2 passes for the show.

I'm waiting to hear from Scion to see if we can get registrations paid for like we had last year.

Scion has their own entrance this year too, that should make registration a lot faster than last year.

Alright, I just came back from the Quality Inn on 909 E Koenig Lane

It's right on the interstate, but below it (overpasses above).

It looks like a 'quality' place ;)

But seriously, it does look like a nice place, and it was packed when I drove by.

Downside is that it's far away from downtown, and the famous 6th street (basically it's a street packed with bars, etc. which they close down to vehicles on weekends)








If you want to stay downtown, and stay in the mix of this street, I'd personally recommend the Hilton Austin, it's on the list so there should be a discount available.

Plus, it's basically right across the street from where I work.


So yes to Quality Inn and Hilton Austin.

Ramiro said he heard there was a Red Roof Inn near the area of the show that was like $50. That would be great since we're all cheap Scion owners....lol.

I drove right by that Red Roof Inn. Looks alright. It's right on I-35, so it's easy to go places. And it's about 5.5 miles away from the show.

Well, I think we lost our hotel scout. Alex has switched to TSE since there weren't any other Scikotics in Austin.

I have a friend that lives there that is currently here in Tulsa, but she is going back tomorrow. I will see if she can scout drive by and make sure the Red Roof hasn't turned into a crackhouse, unless someone else knows anything about the rooms there.

Oh, and that red roof inn.... It's a straight shot to Heatwave, unfortunately it's not close to anything around downtown though.


If some people want to park Downtown (like 6th street), I work valet on 6th street, and I can let a few people park for free. Just let me know ahead of time.

Try the North Austin Plaza Inn and Suites. The hotel is large easy on easy off to and from the event. Located I-35 north just past 290. It was a sponser hotel last year for the event but I didnt see it on Heatwaves website this year. Probably because of the party in the parking lot.
