I have matte black motegi's on my car and I can't seem to find a way to get them clean. How do you guys clean your matte black wheels?

that's a good question, as i have the matte black TRD wheels. what have you tried using so far?? i tried the meguiars quick detailing spray and it worked better then soap and water, but still not the greatest clean look, you know.

I tried Soap and Water, Coral Blue Wheel Cleaner, and Turtle Wax Wheel Cleaner. None of those seemed to work, I think I might have tried Meguiar's a long time ago but I'm not sure. I've had about 3 people tell me to use Simple Green tho so that might be the next thing I try. Another one of my friends told me to use some "Magic Eraser". Not the Mr. Clean one but some other kind. He couldn't tell me the brand but said its at walmart on the dish soap aisle. lol.

i didn't. i thought about doing it, but i was being lazy and just used the spray bottle it was in... haha... i just sprayed and whipped. next time i wash my car i am going to try spraying the wheels with simple green, rinsing it off, and then drying to see if it is any different

Haha maybe it's a motegi problem then cuz that's what I have. Thanks for testing that out for me. I'm gonna have to invest in some Simple Green now!

Pretty sure it's all matte/satin blacks that are hard to clean...
My entire car was Satin black, with matte black BBS RZ's... Worst idea, ever.
I'd use Meguiar's ultimate quick detailer to clean it, then I'd have to buff it with Mother's Back to Black just to get that deep black look to come back... And the car was Garage kept, too... Ugh.
That car is gone now, though. lol no more Matte/Satin for me!
