I have S-techs I love them!
I just got huge ass tires 235/45x17 I love them!
Before I was on 205/60x16 never had a rubbing problem, even with a full load. Now anymore than 300lbs results in massive scrapping. I believe it is just rubbing on the inner edge of the fender. Roll the fenders right? Well, I am having a problem seeing how to do that (without grinding) sense the back bumper is in the center of the rear well for some reason.
So what do you guys recommend I do? Besides coilovers is there anything I can do from the suspension side? (maybe a 'stronger' spring?) Or what... This car is my DD so it is pretty important to me to be able to tote my amigos around

Thought I was logged in ... <_<' ^ Girlfriend's account, I will be responding to everything under this user name (so there is no confusion lol)
Well, coil overs would allow you to micro tune the ride height so it wouldn't be an issue. Or roll the fenders and slam that bad boy. Could just be rubbing on the wheel wells also at the turn radius terminus.... You need to get in and crank from side to side, with a watcher helping you that can tell you where you are hitting. Then see how much clearance you need to gain and come up with a plan that works...

S-Techs have a pretty hard drop, either change the springs, your new cargo limit is 300 pounds, or if it is rubbing the inner fenders then all you need is a grinder and some masking tape.

What offset are your wheels? Im running a 225/40/18 tire with a +35 offset on my wheels and am dropped on DF210's and have a big ass box with 2 12's and only scrape the rear plastic splash gaurds coming up the driveway.

Yea , really depends on width and offset more than anything else, also are you rubbing rear or front. YellowSub over on scionlife would be able to help you more about grinding down rear fender wells, since hes been through that adventure on his wheels as well.
As for coilovers, I'm rolling on K-sports, and the only adjustments for our cars on most coilovers is height and stiffness so even then youd be limited to making your ride a lot stiffer or raising it enough to eliminate (or a combination of both)

Just grind down the inner fender lip to it don't rub anymore...:demo: Then use the Hot Lava touch up paint on the part you grind down to prevent any rust...Done!
