Injen CAI - Help

So I installed my injen CAI today on my 06 bsp tC. Everything runs great, but theres a high-pitch squeal durring the middle rpm's of accelerating. I immediately thought "leak" but I went back and double checked and tripple checked everything, and everything is sealed and on correctly. So then I thought it may be wind squeal on the windows, so I tried rolling them all up and then you couldn't hear the squeal. Then I tried rolling down just one and noticed the squeal only occured on a mid to heavy accell. So i tried putting the oposing window down and its the same story.

So any ideas on what part of the CAI could be causing? I never had this before hand.

Its perfectly normal. :)

Most of them do make a "turbo", or a higher pitched like sound because of the open element design. I have the AEM and it makes a noise similar to what you described.

Just worried me because it sounded like a drill in my ear. I went out for a joy ride this evening since its such a nice evening and its the first time i noticed it. Just wanted to be safe. Its the first non-maintanence work I've done on a car.

otherwise its pretty normal, though the sound is borderline to sounding like break squeeling.

well im relieved now... just worried me, but yea.. Who knows, maybe I'll make a trip to tulsa.

All tC's intakes make whistling noises...

The Injen is known for its whistling turbo like sound its perfectly normal. I ahve the Injen on my C and I aslo had it on my '02 Celica Gt trust me and anybody else when we say its absolutely normal..

yea its normal.

and actually it exists on the stock tC airbox as well, only its really quiet and you would only hear it if you had the windows down and made a big jump in rpms.

and since all intakes open it up a lot more than stock the whistle gets stronger and louder.
