Hey all. I'd like to get your input on what the best short-throw shifter is for our application.
I'm looking for one that will do what its supposed to do, but retain the smooth feel of the stock shifter. I have read some things about one, possibly Dr. Isotope, like it makes it kinda clunky, not smooth.
I don't really like how tall the stock shifter is and honestly, I would like to just cut the handle off and reattach it, about the height of shifter, lower. A quicker shift wouldn't be bad either though.

I am useing the TWM Performance Stage 2 Short Shifter. I have had it on the car for about 7 months now and like it. Haven't had any problems and there is a lot bigger difference over the stock shifter. A lot smoother too. I can't comment on the DR I, since i have not used it. Attached is a link to the TWM shifter.

Dr. Isotope SSK with the bushings he offers.
I have that.
I've had a few short shifters, and tried out even more. I finally got to the Dr. I short shifter kit and there I stopped.

+1 for Doc Iso, if not, then the B&M shifter or Megan works very well also.

i really wanted the TRD short shifter until i seen all the DR I recomendations! torn between carrying TRD theme or getting the highly recomended DR I.
Anyone have good/bad experiences with TRD short shifter?

Unfortunately, Dr. Isotope has stoppped selling the shifters for a while because no one is returning their cores so he doesn't have any stock shifters to build his short shifters. I'm thinking about going to a junk yard to see if they have any when I do try to get one so I can keep my original for if/when I get rid of my car.
