ok seriously. that's not a whole lot of metal or apparent work in that one. Just a fancy Ooo Ah looky what I got. I can't justify the $250 price tag. I'm sorry

250 is a lil steep, but you have to remember it just came out, and the xD is about as big as a breadbox.

The one for a tC is 275....

and did you know that we get a 30% discount on all WR products....so yeah, it's not a bad price after that. :)

i had actually completely forgotten about that. I guess we'll see what kind of pricing AEM and Injen come out of the blocks with in the coming months.

not to mention the tC sri actually has a bend in it lol. I actually still have my tC Injen CAI in the garage. I sat it on the xD airbox trying to figure out a way to put it together. :D

I have a few things to work out at the monment. But its either going to be an xA or xD. I have plenty of parts at the house for the xA right now. (Besides, Cee_dub owes me!)

Got it, and added you.

I wanted to say sorry for the other picture. When we did the dyno on this intake the original design did not perform the way we wanted it to. The updated picture is the production intake and is ready for sale. Here is the dyno too as well. As performed on a fellow Scikotic member.

14.9 TQ and 16.3 Hp

Also a link to the picture of the install.

I'd sure like to see some independent verification of some of the outrageous hp and torque gains claimed by many of the intake manufacturers. They certainly do not come near to anything I have experienced or heard from any of my reliable sources.

Too bad it voids your warranty!

Too bad it voids your warranty!

No after market parts directly void your warranty.

Too bad it voids your warranty!

It only voids your warranty if they can prove that the product is at fault.

lol

they both look like they'd fit

I'm pretty sure the 2nd one has the same MAF mounting plate.
Since we can't see the plate on the first one, that means it's on the other side, so that makes that bend an inward bend, or maybe even upward, once mounted, and the breather hose face would downward, which would be odd.

hmm

The first one is the "stuff" that came in my kit. There is no MAF mounting plate like the second pic shows. Its just an elbow. You would use the stock MAF mount. The thing is for that much money you should at least get the stuff in the second pic. It sure looks much better.

Here is an installed pic of the first setup. The kind that my kit included.

Not nearly as nice IMO as the other setup. My question still is why the difference in the two?

The first one with a new maf holder did not dyno good at all... It actually lost power...

By using the stock maf holder it gained power...
