I have been looking all over the place trying to find Polyurithane bushings for the front and rear sway bars. I recently heard that graphite bushings are better? I believe thats what the guy had said. Could you please shine some light on this for me.

Thanks,
E

I don't have a clue, but I'm going to move this to the suspension section and see if someone more knowledgeable than I can answer it.

If I remember correctly from my GM performance days...polyurethane gives just a touch more (better feel) but can make a squeaking noise, so a graphite/polyurethane hybrid is the best.?

Does this make any sense or have I lost my marbles? :lalala:

Well, this got me curious, so I asked a friend who sent me to this page...

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/1701/bushings.htm - which discusses some interesting points about suspension bushings for camaros (still learning about Scion's suspensions).

Hope it provides some assistance! :|

Yeah, see i also grew up around Muscle Cars. I actually own a 68 Camaro, which has polyurithane bushings on it. Which gave it a lot more handling, than what it used to feel like. So thats why i was wondering if i could get some for my Box.

Man, I love Camaros...and Scions. I don't have mine anymore, but sure do miss it!

I know you can get them for Scions...don't know the best ones to purchase...but I will look around and ask some questions about them. However, my guess is that within 24 hours from now...someone with the true Scion intelligence will answer your thread with all of the facts you need!

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :pilot:

QUESTION: So I am looking for sway bar "end links" that are polyurethane. I have called toyota, they don't make polyurethane - only stock rubber oem.

I found some universal end bar links through "energy suspension parts" they come with eight bushings, and the bars, washers, and such.

$13.49 plus shipping!

I think these are what I am going to go with unless someone has another suggestion.

ANSWER: The bolts that come in that set are too long so get the set w/out the bolts and get yourself some 4x3/8 grade 8 bolts and nylock nuts. Then use this set from energy suspension pt #9.8105R.

I have also found a set of front sway bar "D" bushings that will replace front rubber ones. They are pt #9.5219R and w/out dropping the cross member they are a pain to put in. I bought mine through Carquest - end link bushings were 10.54 and "D" bushings were 18.65
