Spacer help

A friend gave me some spacers that I might put on the rear...has anyone put spacers on the rear wheels and what thickness were they?

I have spacers on the rear of my xb they are 1/4 inch. Anything over that and you may need longer wheel studs :(

Is this just a spacer alone with supplied extended studs for you to change on the hub, or are they spacer adapters with studs installed and the bolt onto your existing hub? What's the offset of the wheels, what size tires are you running and is the car lowered? These all will factor in any rubbing issues that could arise after the spacer install.
