btw, anyone know any shop that would be able to fabricate a heat shield?

I'm just incredibly sick right now, have all the car repair crap to deal with, training class for my 2nd job about to start and like I said... INCREDIBLY sick... (but getting better though...)

I don't want to get you all sick. It's some bronchitis/upper respiratory infection hybrid and this thing SUCKS!!

Not to mention my car will be filthy because I don't want to make the damage "worse" from washing it if their adjuster needs to do his own quote and starts whining about pics being not as bad, etc etc etc

But I really am pretty damn sick you guys...

Matt: Any metal shop should be able to but youd don't need one......

I'm just taking precautionary measures. If people are having dealerships tell them that they won't honor warranty claims on a supercharger because of the header, I'm not going to take the chance. If I have my header ceramic coated and shielded, they're going to have to find a way to prove that my setup is still somehow giving off exceptionally more heat than stock header/heat shield.

I've kind of put the heat shield thing on hold since a friend of mine mentioned wrapping it. I believe my ambient temperature will be considerabley lower than oem with everything all said and done. Let'em try and tell me with a straight face that the extreme heat melted my seals when my engine temp under load is cooler than stock.

I agree with the wrap. The S/C has a tendency to leak with an A/F header. They blame the heat so prevent that. No issues..... Just remember. THEY HAVE TO PROVE IT WAS THE HEADER..........
