It all depends on what you have done and what they think you can do for them. Some of us have gotten a crapload of free shit from carsponsorships.com, some haven't.
And yes, zpi is dead.

Search for "CarSponsorships" here on the site. They have done a lot for some people, not much for others. Personally, I don't use them.
I have worked on building my car for about 2 years and finally have a decent sponsorship proposal prepared for next show season. I will start sending it out after the first of the year to various companies and hopefully, will get some partial sponsorships.
They key is having a modded car already. You will be a billboard for the company so you need to be sure your car will be noticed at shows and have awards from various shows to prove that you take care of your car and it is done right. Getting sponsored is not easy, but if you work hard and do your homework, it can be done.
Good luck

To be honest - it's not worth your time and money to try to get sponsors if you have a stock car. It's the modded ones that have the potential, as they are eye-catchers and people notice them more.
Some people will still sponsor stock or close to stock cars, but they are few and far between.

The company basically split up - Kenny and several of the tech staff left.

From experience the best time to send out proposals is December. :)
