i left my actual exhaust pipe stock. i know quite a few people have done the same thing. goin to a larger pipe may cause you to actually lose hp.

really? cause im running 4-1 headers, and then a axl back exhaust. My plan is buy a universal cat, and just run the mid pipe, beacause its going from large to small to large.

thats a similar setup as the strup, i personally wouldn't change out the pipes unless you have to. i didnt, and dont regret it.

I did. I have 2.25 cat back to a magnaflow muffler...nice and deep. no resonator, so its loud.

I've heard that you shouldnt go up more than a half inch if you arent boosted.

I'm running a WR header and the Greddy TiC catback.....planning to leave the rest of my piping on. I sound like an angry bee-covered lawnmower but the box moves FAST. ;)

Depends on what you want. first off the reznor is just basically a cherry bomb muffler installed by the factory to lower the valve train/clanking noise a small engine creates. They put it on as soon as possible to lower cabin noise. It has no restriction so its not recommended to remove it. Now the cat..........

I am all stock except for I had a muffler shop run 2.5 from the reznor back into an ebay stainless can. I lost a little low end, but it sounds great. I get compliments all the time. cost about $75.00 to have it done.

When money allows, I'll be adding a header and go all fresh 2.5 pipe all the way back, high flow cat and replace the reznor with a cheery bomb. Low and deep clean sound.

Right now I can hear ALL the noises my engine makes. It sounds crazy man!

The guy who bought my box before me put a nasty exhaust on it and I just dropped 60 bucks and a crappy shop to get it taken off, now I want something that's quiet and sounds incredibly nice when I start it up... But I don't know what it is.. I saw it at a show and loved it. The guy said he bought it off ebay and didn't know. If you know anything please let me know.

I'm real happy with my Megan on the 3.0. Its slightly deeper than my torched tip on the 4.0. Both had the same 2.5 reznor back treatment.

Here is an ebay link 2.5 inlet, 4 inch tip.

Exactly how loud is this? And is it raspy at all?

Its not at all raspy, not too loud. I'll try to record it sometime this week, and post it up.
