Since my plans kinda fell thru, im now having to run a system out of the stock headunit. Im needing the correct wires to splice up to hook up the inline converter, and also where did you connected the remote wire to power up the amp. Please let me know of this info asap, im a very last minute dude and i think that on thurs night i might pull an all nighter and just let the wife drive. LOL.

SO, in a nutshell, I need the wiring info to hook up an inline converter to the stock headunit in order to run a amp to power up the subs. SO i need the color wires and also if there is a remote cable that i can tap into to powe up the amp, i know that the tC has one since i did it on jorges, however i remember nothing about it. LOL.

The best place jimmy is to look in the tech section of scionlife. Let me know if you don't find it.

I'm really thinking they're going to be the same since both cars use the same HU and the ... plug-things ... are the same in the back of the units

hey if your going to use an rca converter i would recommend the jl audio converter its a little pricey but it definetly makes a difference with sound quality from the stock radio

As I dive back into the pool of thread necromancy. I actually searched instead of starting a new thread. :trophy:

I am looking to do this same thing. Mainly because I like my stock deck, and steering wheel controls. I want to keep my setup clean and simple. Can anyone tell me more about this JL Audio RCA converter?

Talk about digging up an old thread!!! This thread is almost 3 years old!!! Anyways, any damn converter will work man, you don't need to spend your money on a JL one that will do the same damn thing a Radio Shack one will do.
