hey guys,
my wife is giving me shit because, she says, i'm being way too uptight about the xB. not that she needed an excuse to give me shit, but i've only owned it a week and i've washed it three times and detailed it twice. plus i have paper floor mats down to protect my "scion" floor mats.

now i want to put in some seat covers to protect the stock upholstery but would like to find some that will fit somewhat decently. does anyone have any experience in this area? i've got kids (well one kid and one on order) so i need something durable and i don't want anything that's gonna look too much like a rice-boy (ie. no flame, tribal or skull patterns....my appologies to any of you that have flame, tribal or skull patterns in your seats  ) i just want something basic that i can put in to protect the seats and take out when i go to shows, etc. i'm hoping to keep the price under $250.00. any suggestions would be appreciated.

cheers to all!

i think the site is seatcoverfactory.com and they make some that look good. you can get em without the weird ovals on the side. i saw then on SL on a guys car and the looked very good. they are 3 piece so the look a lot better than the ones at wal-mart

While the ovals dont look that good, they are functional, they protect the bolster which is the most common part where a seat breaks.

hey Tim,
i took you're suggestion and ordered the covers from seatcoverfactory.com. they came in over the weekend and i just installed them.

all-in-all they work really good.

i described them to my wife by saying they're not as great as i would have liked but they're a hell of a lot better than i expected!!

they were fairly easy to install (except for the 108* heat outside). though you could probably do it without, i took the backseat completely out to install the covers.

here are some pictures in case anyone has considered trying them. they are the "gray endura fabric" versions.

Hey Tim,

post up some pics when you get them installed. i'd like to see how the colored ones look!

FYI, be prepared to wait to get them after you order. it took them almost a month to deliver mine after i ordered them. i called after a three weeks and found out that they hadn't even been made yet. they came pretty quickly after i called so if you want yours in a timely fashion, you might keep their number on hand. good luck!!

Just in case someone wants another idea

http://www.wetokole.com/

They made custom made neoprene style seat covers....i have them for my tC and they are amazing...a little pricy but very worth it in my opinon...

If you want pics let me know....otherwise the website has all kinds of pics!!!
