Dear Scikotics,
After a very warm and well reception and welcome from not one, but THREE Scikotics members today, I am pleased to announce that our company is proud to be an affiliate of the Scikotics. You all seem like a wonderful bunch of people and we cant wait to get to know you all better.
I was asked to mention them so that you all dont think this is :spam:. First, a big thanks to Jon (FrankenScion) and to Mike Mattert for allowing permission for me to even be here. Second, Blake all the way in your Baton Rouge chapter asked me to mention "zereaux"- the secret code word. LOL
My name is Sandee Andrews, and it is my pleasure to introduce you to Andrews Powder Coating, Inc. in Chatsworth, CA (www.powdercoater.com (http://www.powdercoater.com/)). We have a powder coating company that has been doing custom coatings since 1980! A very long time!
Yesterday , one of our customers from a Scion car club picked up his valve cover from our shop, and I was pleased to have met him. His car is beautiful, and before our conversation was over, I was very much interested in Scions and what they are all about.
I spoke with my assistant, Kim, about Scions, and found out that she is a very big fan of Scions. She told me enough to really wish to have an involvement in organizations such as this. The passion that our client exuded for this car really was nice, and we are discovering this exuberance is common within the Scion community.
I have now been on the internet for 24 hours (almost straight!) and really like the attitudes in the Scion community I am seeing so far. You are a fun bunch!
We have been invited to Power Scion in Irvine on September 16th of this year, and we of course accepted! We think this will be our first Scion show!
We are excited, because what we eventually offer to our customers is spots (at no charge) in our booth at big shows if your car has Andrews Powder Coating, Inc. custom powder coating!
We have done this well in the motorcycle industry. We have a very good name and reputation. We just think that the Scion community has more appeal because of how welcoming you have all been. I have gotten many e mails today from many Scion owners. This is a friendly group!
We would like to help customize the Scion industry and your car.
Would it be possible for us to come to some of your events and perhaps show a display or 2 of some customized wheels, roll cages, valve covers and other customizable parts? We offer so many beautiful finishes, and our experience handling challenging issues (such as masking for “drop center” wheels, polishing and powder coating combinations, applications of candies and clears, and we also offer a beautiful “Black Chrome” powder coat that no other coater in the country has available). We are experienced with the handling of many different metals, such as steel, aluminum, magnesium (which Scion valve covers are made up of) and their cure statistics. Magnesium especially is a very tricky metal, and not many shops can properly handle it.
We are very Toyota product friendly and encourage the sales and customizations of Toyota products. We are an environmentally friendly facility. We are the exclusive powder coating finisher for the brand new TLC Icons (www.TLCIcon.com (http://www.tlcicon.com/)), which was developed from the old Toyota LandCruiser. Also, Kay and Marv Spector, who are legends in the Land Cruiser world, are our best friends.
We have a wonderful team of employees here. We do not experience employee turn around, and therefore re-training people to handle specific parts does not happen very often, unless we are hiring a new employee. Our average employment stay here is over 9 years.
The word “rejection” is not a part of our teams operating procedures.
Our pricing and turn around is competitive, but your members will get the best customer care, and that is not offered anywhere else.
Thank you for taking the time to read our introduction letter. Please let us know if we can become involved.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Sandee Andrews
