so i finally got all my money back from my first cf hood. question is...where do i go from here?

i've read up on some vis and some bbist ones.

400 bucks for cf hood+150 shipping..so i called bbist and know of a 5% discount for scikos. and the price of their hoods aren't bad. they told me tho that because cf is hard to get now..they dont have the double sided cf hoods anymore :( BUMMER! but does anyone have experience with them? are they going to be a pain the butt to drill washer holes in? and will fitment be a huge problem?

as for vis...MAN they charge a lot for their hood. i haven't even called them up just cuz they charge 260 bucks more than bbist. i honestly dont know if it's even worth a call seeing that price. i also have read on other forums that it's 50/50 when it comes to their hoods as far as fitment goes. some people have it on very nicely, and some so bad that they can't even install it.

and i know everyone has told me that cf hoods are never going to fit as nicely as oem hoods. but i would think it's not too much to ask for that one gets a hood that fits at least properly that one should not have to worry that it'll fly off on the freeway. so any suggestions, comments, feedback or whatever is welcomed! i just need to get rid of my oem hood ASAP! i've had that dent on my hood for too many months now!

go with bBist, I mean afterall they specialize in Scions. VIS Racing is so old skool with bad CF fitments especially the hoods and trunks..its hit or miss

Hey Tona, Talk to them and see if they'll give us a discount if we order 2 hoods? Cause I want one too.... I'm assuming this is a standard CF hood with no vents correct? If, so maybe we can get a deal. Any more xA's out there want a CF hood? Perhaps the bigger the order the bigger the discount...maybe...

bBist!?!

Does anyone know bBist!?!

Steve and Lisa are really good friends of mine, and I've been rocking 99% of his products for the xB. I've known them for a long time and stayed at their place numerous times.

Yes, its true raw cf is very hard to come by.

When you call there, tell them I sent you. I will be going down to SoCal again sometime in the nect month or so, and can prolly bring back some stuff.

okay Jeremiah, will do! i'll call them probably some day this week and ask them. so gather people for CF hoods! :) i have a shipping address to a business here too, so they already have a cheaper rate than residential.

as for the hood itself, yes it is ventless. looks very clean tho. no washer holes drilled either. but if you wanna take a look on their site, bbist.com they have pics of the cf hood except the fact that the new ones now wont have the cf on the underside. but nonetheless, it's clean looking!!
