Mine does that too when it's really hot out. It needs more lubrication.

Yep, mine has been doing that too. If you open up your window and hold down the deflector while shutting the sunroof, it should go down.

mine did that too and it was really weird cuz wen i would drive over 15mph it would close with no problem, i brought it to the dealer and they thought it was really strange, wen i got it back they said it had something to do with wiring but me personally i thought it needed lube as well...it has of tendency of doing it wen its hot out i have a 06 ....if lube doesnt do the job just bring it to the dealer im sure u got waranty

Old topic but thought I would shed some light on it. Well you guys are close. I figured out what it is. The arms that hold up the winddeflector are dirty. Even fine particles of dust do it. Just slide your hand along those quick and it closes. Works every time. Just keep those as clean as you can and you shouldnt have a problem. Does not have much to do with lubrication. A owner at my dealer showed me the trick. Aahaha... Btw if you are looking to replace the arms because the paint is wearing. Good luck they want you to buy the entire winddeflector which is about $300
and change. Was looking into it now I will pass.
