Get a Kinetic 100 farad capacitor! They are only like $200, and will run everything practically indefinitely!

Don't listen to them, what I said is a good idea. Just because they have seen it and heard about it is all they mean.

Gurinder, it's been awesome to watch your car's progress with each new idea you have. I have to say this latest set up is truly a great idea, nice clean lines and will give you trunk space back as well as allow you to keep adding ideas (ie 360, tv, and/or the Wii) Way to go!!

I'm not sure I understand what "Cough second battery cough" is supposed to mean. Is there something wrong?

He's suggesting that to do what you mentioned you really should get a 2nd battery to power the items instead of draining power from your car's battery.

That and that cap is really a 2nd battery... its got cells and everything... they use those batteries in the race cars... just to start the cars.

Hmmm, draining the power from your car battery? You mean the Kintetic draining it? It's a trickle charge when the car is running, and when the car isn't running it works reverse too, actually giving juice to the car battery if it ever needed it. It doesn't drain the car battery.

Well yes, it's a super high power one, made for running high power audio systems by providing constant even voltage, unlike the car battery. So I'm still not sure I understand what the problem is..

hmmmm...a cap is well sorta like a battery but much different. It does provide a charge but doesn't help supply MORE power it just helps deliver power from your battery to your devices, mostly used only for audio equipment. The reason being is this. Capacitors are made to deliver a high amount of amps in a short amount of time, which is why they use them for racing to start their engines, they need a lot of power in a couple of seconds to do so and a battery just cant keep up to that demand. Which is why if you have subs, its almost always a good idea to get a cap to place in-line. Subs require a lot of power to move and when a note drops a battery cant really keep up to the demand which is why it can sometimes sound flat, or top out. The battery keeps a constant flow of energy going to the cap and the cap is the reservoir from which the amp gains its power. Its more of like a buffer for your battery. So yes it will "give" you more power to use right away, but it wont really give you more overall power.

Hmmmm.... Well I'm still glad to have mine. And since I have it I have a 7 year warranty on my amps.

they are great to have when you're running amps, sure does save a lot of stress on the amp itself thus prolonging its life:)
