depend on how you want it to look how much you want to pay, simplest way to find out what you want is to look at pics of lowered tc's http://www.scionlife.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1615.. You need to decide if you want to go with coil overs, or spring and shock/struts and make sure they have the same spring rate. Also depending on how low you go and your rims you may need to roll your fenders....any thing below 1.5 is below the tc's center of balance so its gonna effect your handling a little bit...

There's a list of springs and drops at Scionlife and the picture thread posted above to give you an idea of how the car will sit.

TRD springs give the least drop at 1.25".

I have eibach's on mine- and i didn't put them there- so i dont know how low my car actually sits- all i know is that i've got HORRIBLE wheel rub...i've had it in the shop twice so far, and they keep telling me they fix it- but they don't... if its unfixable at least diagnose the problem (wheels might be too big) so that i can fix it!

I like the 1.5 in drop range but that's because I prefer handling; TRD springs are good for this. If your the slammed kind of guy, go lower.

If you are looking for a 2 inch drop I would recommend Hotchkis as well. As Zach said if you are looking for more handling and performance then I would highly recommend TRD. It is only a 1.5 inch drop, but the spring rate helps a lot!

I was never able to measure the drop as my tC had them installed already. And why do I say ~1.25"?
Quote from the description on the TRDSparks website:
" TRD Lowering Springs lower the tC approximately 1.25”, front and rear, offering a more aggressive stance and lower center of gravity. This provides added stability in hard cornering and provides a smooth, comfortable ride. Spring rate is increased 18% in the front, and 26% in the rear over stock springs. LIMIT ONE(1) SET PER CUSTOMER"

Eibach sportlines are probably my favorite springs. They have the progressive spring rate like the pro-kit/TRD but with a larger 2" drop.

I like the tanabe kits, but their rear spring rates are softer than stock.

So my boss just bought a STI and is dropping it to road race it and I told him that i'm dropping my TC after my income tax comes in and he told me i need to change out the struts.
so my question is for everybody that has dropped there TC; did you replace the struts when you changed the shocks. Im wanting to go with the Eibach Pro Kit-(F: 1.2/ R:1.2) springs on my car

Lowered on TRD and still on the factory shocks/struts(RS5 Package didn't include them, I think it should've). For that much of drop it isn't necessary, but myself would upgrade to Tokico or Koni shocks/struts. My 89 Celica has Eibach Pro-Kit springs and upgrading the shocks/struts was needed. Driving with the tC on TRD springs w/OEM shocks/struts I haven't felt that necessity to upgrade them. If you want to road race along with your boss then yes upgrade them. If you are just cruising/daily drive the car reusing OEM is fine.

Do you have the drop? do you have any pictures?
I know all i need to about the 1.5in kits, and i was looking into TRD simply because i know i can trust them, BUT i think i'm really going more for look than handling.
Will a 2in drop result in trouble with speed bumps and shit?
