umm do you know how to paint 1st

it should not be that much to paint, all they have to do is take off your bumper and tape it off and paint just that small area and could have it done in a day

I would suggest doing vinyl. I was going to paint mine originally but vinyl can always be taken off if you don't like it. It will cost more than painting but I think it is worth it...

i was actually gonna try the duplicolor shield first to see if i like it

Just remember, that part of your car gets almost the most abuse from the road/bugs/etc. So if you rattlecan it then good chance it could chip easier and mess up. If you went vinyl as said above you wouldn't have as bad of an issue.

I suggest shooting it with an automotive black(mixed at carquest) and then automotive clearcoat. Unless you dont care if you will like it or not, you might want to do vinyl. It will also be easier to fix...

i actually did mine on the last day that was nice, well, before this damn snowstorm. i took off my front bumper, there are poptabs underneath the hood, and some by the wheel wells, pop those off, then you're going to need a socket wrench to get about 8 of the nuts off. once you're done with that you're going to have to forcefully enough to get it off, but gently enough to not break it, pop off the front bumper. then you have to wash it, and get that bug remover shit and clean the hell out of it. when you finish washing it, you're going to want to get some 350 grit sand paper and sand the Lovespot in between the two grilles, then you're gonna want to wet sand it with some smaller grit sand paper. then get some painters tape and (i chose news paper) and tape off the entire bumper, (except for that one part). when you're done painting the first coat of black (or w/e color you go with) wait about 30-45 minutes while it dries then go back out check if you like it. if you think it could go for another coat, you're gonna want to go lightly over the entire thing. wait another 35 minutes till you're positive the entire thing is dry, then take the newspaper and tape off. once you finish with that bring it back over to yo whip, lol, and carefully pop the bumper back into place, then replace the nuts and poptabs.

these are before and after shots of mine. i mean, they're like, months apart (license plate relocate) but they still show it....

i didn't, i probably should've though. this winter is killer, i'm gonna do it again when the weather gets nice. except i'll sand it all better than last time, and i'm going to put i scikotics sticker on the front of it, kinda off center, so that when i'm done i'll have the color that's behind it popping out from the matte black

DEFINITELY DO A CLEAR COAT, idk if you already did the painting, but do like 2 or 3 layers of clear coat. This'll make it harder to take off, but if you like it, it'll keep it from getting fucked by rocks and bumper-flex

I reccomend a good amount of clear coat, and I have used the high performance wheel coating and gotten great results. I do two or three light coats then one final heavy coat.

Otherwise the previous instructions were good, I would even throw another layer of paint on. Let it sit for some time before removing tape, I have pulled tape off before and had a good chunk of paint come up with it. Be careful.

These directions to put clear coat on there are right. I'm going to do it again when I get more time on my hands. Definetly go with a clear coat and an extra 2-3 coats of paint. Then post pics up.

I would go with Justin and just vinyl it. Its easy to put on and later if u need to remove it comes right off. Plus if you overspray when painting it will look bad then you gotta do double the work.

Thats what I would do too. Especially once you realize how many people are going for the "hitler stash" anymore. :bangin:
