I saw instructions like a week ago somewhere but can't remember where. Anyone have a DIY step by step with pics?
Not sure what the purple parts are for... Look like metal rollerskate wheels!

Err, what shifter is that?
When I got my TWM Stage 2 it was just the shifter, a replacement fastener (for the horiz. bolt fastener you have to pry off with the jaws of life and it shoots out of your open door and embeds itself into the damned concrete), and the knob. Was a direct swap.

It didn't come with instructions? That's pretty weak.
All you gotta do, sort of...
take off your current shift knob.
pull out your center console
pull out the shifter console thing (the cigg ligher will still be attached, just let it hang for now
open the arm rest, pull out the carpet liner on the very bottom, unscrew the 2 bolts (10mm if i remember right)
pull off the change-tray / e-brake assembly cover thing
unplug the wire that's coming from the console towards the back of the car..it should be right next to your e-brake
unplug the cigg lighter and detach all wires from the covers
pull all of that crap out of your car and put it somewheres dry
get a beer
find a flathead screwdriver and some patience to get the two copper clips off the plastic shifter assembly
and that's all I remember rofl. check out TWM or CC's site and they should have printable instructions. or search yoursciontc.com or scionlife for a tech / diy article on it.

you use it to raise the shifter cage if you think it is to low for your liken. i didn't use it when i install the creative compact shifter because it is where i like it anyway.

that's pretty awesome that they're purple. Mine were just plain ol brushed silver. And I didn't use mine either.
Well, I did at first, then I swapped back out for the little rubber bushing that were originally there. Gave like an extra 1/4 nich drop.

you should've just taken the grease off the old shifter and put it on the new one :p
either way, grease it asap. no need to get stuck mid-shift on a freeway

well... with all the hassle I went through I had most ofthe grease on my hands and just wanted to get it movable... I think the stickiness is from the lifts I put under the boot cage.
