Well driving along yesterday all the lights on my dash lit up wipers stopped working while snowing badly couldn't see. Power steering stopped working along with a host of other things. Got stopped pulled over turned car off restarted and everything was working . But now the traction light is on along with a cel light. Took to dealer and they are keeping it over night. Says it has 3 fault codes as of now ABS ,traction and forgot what the last one was. Not a good start on a 2 week old car. Will update when i know more.

well at least it looks cool in the drive way lol. I e-mailed the thread from scionlife to the service manager so they know what to look for.

Sounds like it's all probably related to the same malfunction. ABS and Traction control use the same system basically.

Could also be your speed sensor underneath. Did the dealership have any wheels installed on it?

Sorry to hear Sam my old xb had a chip . Nope no wheels were installed but maybe with all this snow the past 2 weeks could have done it?

Hey sorry to hear about your problem.. I am having the same issue and have had it for a year now I have an 08 with 20k on it my problems started last year with 11k it has been to the service department 4 times 3 last year and once this year just got it back so far they replaced wire harness and 3 coils I called Scion today because I am tired of dealing with this also my car would stop running while I was driving it and when at a stop light it would start to stall. let me know what they say about your. and I will keep you updated as well

Well they said my cars wheel sensor set all of this off. But that would not make wipers stop steering stop and all dash lights to come on. He did say that there was a lot of garble in the freeze frame.but the other guy cleared it before he could look at it

I could see that for the abs and traction control. The rest is could be a number of electrical issues. I assume the car stalled if you had no power steering, but the wipers should of continued working. Strange? Could be something silly like a bad ground somewhere.

Had the flashing VSC, CEL and Traction control a few weeks ago. Dealership confirmed it was a bad wireharness and replaced it with the "revised" version that is on the 09s and 10s.

Bad water pump and then the wiring harness in 3 months, I'm starting to lose interest in my xb2....

so for my issues above i called scion corporate they returned my call 24 hours later and basically said F U deal with it you car is still under warranty and there is nothing currently wrong with your car. So my 08 XB with 20k has had a replaced wire harness and 3 ignition coils replaced is perfect
