I just got my demon eyes in the mail yesterday and am trying to figure out how to do the wiring. I want the demon eyes on whenever the car is on and I want a switch so that I can have them on when the car is off (at shows). I am thinking about wiring a switch and a relay in parallel with the relay turning them on when the car is on and the switch to turn them on at any time. Any suggestions on how I should wire them and/or what wire I should tap into to trip the relay when the car is running?

i would just replace the driving lights with them that way if you want them on at shows you can just flip on the driving lights.

use the switched ignition on your radio to trip the relay when the car is on.
So, here is what I would do....
85 is ground
86 is 12v switched from the radio
30 is 12v constant
87 goes to the lights (this will turn on when car is on)
87a goes to lights as well with a switch on it (for when car is off)
You can put a diode on the 87 wire to stop the feedback from the 87a when it is on.
Hope that made sense, I am still trying to wake up!

Thanks for the mini write up. I think this is what I may do. I have never worked with relays before so hopefully, I can get it figured out with this write up. Do I need any certain relay or diode for this setup?

just a single pole double throw relay will work. you can get them at a local parts store, or your local best buy store. tell the guys at the south des Moines store i sent ya and that I told them to give you a relay. That is if they remember me. I was the district install manager for 3 years. They will also have the diode you need as well. Ping me off line and I will give you my cell phone number if you get into trouble.

Well, the eyes are in, they are wired up to a switch, but haven't wired in a relay yet. Figured I would post up a few pics of them in this thread though. They look much better in person (it is hard to get a good pic of them).

They look really good in the picture. Can't imagine if they look better in person. Must be hella awesome.
