This was a hardwire I had to do myself since the audio shop did it wrong. I forgot to take pics before opening the adapter package but I have a pic of the package itself. Wiring it this way is also helpful if you would like to take the GPS out and put it in a different car.
Items needed:
Accessory outlet w/ terminal clamps
A pair of needle nose pliers
Wire cutters
Wire strippers
Drill or round file
Flat & philips screwdrivers
1 self tapping screw
Zip tie(s)
Electrical tape
Estimated Time - 30 Mins
Here is a picture of the accessory outlet package. I got this at Radio Shack for about $9.

First you are going to take the outlet and cut the terminal connectors off.

Here is what the outlet looks like without the clamps.

Then you will remove the fuse box cover in the dash.

Now after stripping the wires on the outlet you will need a self tapping screw. You will ground the negative on the metal frame below the fuse box, pull the 15A Accessory fuse out with the needle nose pliers and place the wire in with the fuse. Be sure to put the fuse back in the correct way.

Next you will remove the tweeter cover on the dash and unscrew the right screw and hinge the speaker towards the windshield. After moving the speaker back (or taking it out) you can take the charger end of your gps cable and drop it down the hole. You will have to crawl under your dash and worm it around and behind wires, cables, etc.

You should leave enough slack to be able to put the GPS and plug it in easily and put the speaker back in place.

Next you can take a round file or drill and on the edge of the tweeter cover put a notch big enough for the wire to fit through.

Once done you can put the cover back on.
Now under the dash you should have the male and female accessory connectors.

Plug the connectors together, get the electrical tape, now tape the connectors together so they do not come apart.
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh85/bgraff3/DSC01746.jpg
Wind up your excess wire and zip tie it around the connectors.

The best place I found to set this at was behind the panel by the foot rest. I stuck it in and it hasnt moved at all yet.

Here is what it looks like from the hood.

Now all that is left is to clean up and turn your car on and see that your gps is now working (note I turned the GPS off to show it is charging while the car is running).
