I searched the forums already and saw the stock wheel replacement with an upgraded Scion wheel but not too detailed info on an aftermarket steering wheel.
I replaced my stock today with a NRG CF unit and quick release hub. Im getting almost all the lights on the dash to to light up. I had expected the airbag light to come on, but not the VSC and Trac off lights also since the wheel really has nothing to do with both of those things yet the light came on.
Was wondering if I did something wrong or all those lights are supposed to come on? How do I fix it? As for the airbag light, can I just disconnect the light from the back of the dash? Any specific info would have. I have an 04 xB.

It could be from disconnecting the wires and reconnecting them triggered a fault with the air bag circuit.
Try disconnecting a battery terminal for a few minutes, and reconnect it. If everything is hooked up right, it should just need to be reset.

The VSC and Trac off lights come on anytime there is a system malfunction. i.e. leaving you gas cap off. (know first hand) Try hooking up a bypass for the airbag and that should fix the lights. I know some aftermarket hubs have it built in but I think you can use a resister. I will try to find the info and post it later. As for just removing the light if you ever have your system check for emissions where they check the computer it will still throw the code and fail your car.

the vsc control is taken out when you replace it with an aftermarket steering wheel, you can put it back in, but the vsc feature still wont be functional with out some modding to the steering wheel... when i get home this evening, i'll take mine apart and take some pics for you, i have to re-adjust the steering wheel anyways, its off just a hair...

when I painted my dash I had the airbag light on for a few days no other lights just that one, so it won't go off for the AB

damn, we had a meet last night, i didnt get a chance to take it apart... the other option, put electric tape behind the light to block it from showing on the dash... temporary, but it works...

If you put the tape behind the light it will still show because the tape isn't bloking it :P....lol I know you meant to say behind the opening or whatever it is called for the airbag on the black part, which would be between the light and the cover which has all the different symbols...shit, I might have went a little too deep and confused some one...
