I have not received my Stage 0 yet, but noticed in the install directions about the kit not coming with the wastegate dump tube. Does anyone have any guidance or suggestions as to what to do here? Do I really need it with the Stage 0? Preferably someone who has the kit or know someone that has it answer the question. I did call ZPI and they said not to worry about it, but wonder why I should want exhaust gasses in my engine bay. Sounds kinda weird to me. Thanks.

i have the stage zero and i actually love it open dump. its really not a big deal. once you hit 5.3 psi the wastegate opens and open dumps it to the atmosphere and is loud. if you don't want that just bring it to a muffler shop and have them route it into the downpipe

Cool and thanks. I love loud noises! I just hope my wife don't mind..lol..Just wanted to know before I installed it. Nice to know I can add it later though. Just patiently waiting on the kit to ship...

Also, Nebster, do you have dyno stats for the stage 0? I see that they have a video on their site, but I believe that is with the FMIC. Just curious..

Nice, just right for a daily driver like me. Another question, I am going to be deployed for 3 months in January and my wife will be driving the car. I am kinda worried about mechanical issues when I am gone. What can I expect as far as normal maintenance with the turbo (my first turbo) and what kind of precautions should I take when driving. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to dot my i's and cross my t's before I void the warranty! lol

basically if you're in 5th gear going like 40 and need to go faster don't floor it. that puts a lot of strain on your engine / turbo. shift to a gear that is appropriate. keep it about 3k rpm before you floor it

additionally only use premium (durr) and do an oil change every 2500 miles even if it is all highway. Wait about 3-4 min before you start driving to let the turbo warm up and when you get home let the car idle for a min or two before turning it off to let it cool down.

Good tips, thanks. I am a little worried my wife will go cheap on the gas when I am gone! Maybe my best bet is to buy a steering wheel lock when I leave so the wife will have to drive her Ranger..lolAlso, I was reading on the SL DIY for the Stage 0 install. It is an older thread, but he was mentioning something about the wastegate gasket that comes with the kit. A few other people said they blow pretty quick. Do you use a copper gasket or the one that came with it?

i actually went to wal mart and got this stuff called ultra copper. works better than the paper and no leaks and i didn't have to wait for a copper one to come.
