I just ordered the turbonetics kit for my 05 manual tC. I was just wondering if i NEEDED anything else besides what comes with the kit. I also got a free boost guage from them. I plan on getting a clutch a lil while down the road, but I just needed to know what else I need now. Thanks.

Also, if anybody's wondering, I got the kit from turbo-kits.com for $4000.

Oil gauges would be a good thing to have too. =)

Oil Pressure Gauge, Wideband O2 gauge with Sensor (For Air/Fuel), switch to synthetic oil, full turbo-back exhaust if you can afford it (The backpressure from the stock exhaust can cause problems). Tuning is key.

Thanks 4 the help. I know a lil about cars, but I'm new to F/I. My friend said I need a turbo timer. Can't I just let the car idle for a few before I turn it off?

Sweet. Thanks. I'm lazy too, but I'm also in the Air Force which means I don't really have that much money. :md: I know the monkey doesn't fit, but I haven't had the chance to use it yet.

Thanks again.

If you switch to synthetic oil you really don't need a turbo timer. A turbo timer's used so that oil doesn't get stuck inside the hot turbo housing and break down. Synthetic won't break down like conventional oil. It's still good to let your car cool down for a little bit though.

the three main things that you need to know about installing the turbo are:
1) ignition timing
2) boost control
3) fuel management

and a lot of money to get it installed and tuned. trust me its worth it you don't want to mess around with shops that dont know what they're doing
