How are the Scion medallion and xB emblem attached to the vehicle? Is it just some kind of super glue that you can heat up and remove? Thanks, Ms J

if your talking about the old xB then you can just heat them up and remove them. im not sure about the one on the front though. and im also not sure how the new xBs have them set up.

Use a hairdryer and some fishing line. heat it up with the hair drier and then slide it along the adhesive and it should come right off.

The front is part of the grille. Also, you can get the residue with 3M Adhesive remover.

have the stealership do it on your next oil change, i did, free of charge as well. I was scared of scratching the cheap scion fingernail polish paint.

Are you saying the front medallion on an '08 xB is part of the grill and NOT glued on (or able to be removed)? Ms J

Not sure on the '08. It is on the 1st gen. You can get the actual badge off, but there is the "framing" part of the grill.

At first I was surprised, then not surprised, then kind of amazed (though I probably shouldn't have been). About what you ask? The medallions/emblem were plastic! I was amazed that they looked so good as to make me think they were metal.

I used a heat gun and a pair of pliers. Started heating at one end, pulled with the pliers a little bit, and as it loosened, moved the heat gun and just pulled a little more. Heated the remainder of the adhesive and kind of rolled it into a little ball (like a wad of gum) and used some cleaner for removing stickers to get the rest of the adhesive off. The medallion on the back had a couple of alignment holes (that I wasn't expecting) that got covered perfectly with the "Life Is Good" oval sticker! Not sure just what I'll put on the front as of yet.

Thanks for all the info. Ms J

There are also holes on the front one. Thr grill area is black so they are not that noticable. Ms J
