Hi, guys, brand new to this forum. I'm from Scionlife, nick is amdforever on there. Just spent like 5 mins looking for the reply button since the box at the bottom wouldn't let me type in it. I'm looking for some peeps what would be nice enough to show a new guy around on the site a little. Don't worry, I'm going to be spending a good deal of time searching on my own for info. But a buddy and I are interested in starting up a Las Vegas, NV Scikotics chapter if you guys don't mind. Can some of you point me in a good direction of threads on how to go about doing this, how to acquire decals, fees (I know it says free but is it truly free or do you pay for decals and stuff?), and other really helpful info. We think we may have quite a few interested peeps here, I was thinking doing meets to work with peoples schedules, once every 3 months or so, doing a like a small road trip or something somewhere, like say Grand Canyon, Zion Nat. Park, Out to Cali somewhere, you know...places around here, and then try to participate in shows too. Can you guys let me know how you operate your own personal chapters and stuff? Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks for helping a new guy out, and I sincerely apologize if I am posting this in the wrong thread.

Does anyone know how I can get this forum to automatically email me if a reply to a thread is made like SL does? Hi Jeremy, Welcome aboard! If you look over the "sticky" threads here in the Clubwide News and Resources, we have answers to all of your questions regarding new chapters, stickers and all of the good stuff. If you run into any questions that you do not find the answers to, I would REALLY like to know about them so I can add them here.

I think it is important to make it easy for new members to find all the important stuff like you are asking. Very good questions!

Now, as for your email question:

go to your CP (control Panel) and click on EDIT OPTIONS and you will find what you are seeking!

Couple crews in Vegas but nothing that I have seen to positive in past events. Post up on SL that your looking for members and they will come!

Thx for the help guys and all the welcoming, been reading them for the past hour or so. That edit thing was easy to fix :) Now I get instant informants, YAY! Read up on the website things when/if we get a chapter started out here we would probably stick with making one on here and a myspace profile. I'm not too savvy on webdesigns. Looked at the threads for the logos and all, LOTS of hot designs out there, good bunch of talented people here I see. Are club/chapter decals a must have thing to be part of the Scikotics? Cause I'm not too sure if all of our guys would like to have a decal on their car. I know I do :) I want a wind deflector one that is reflective at night :P But yeah curious if its a must have or not item. When it comes to shirts/hats/other swag, do you make the members pay for it themselves if they want it or do the pres. and v. pres. pay for it for the chapter? I know this is suppose to be a "free" club but not sure on the rules for that type of paying and didn't see it in the threads I've read so far.

Chad: I look forward to talking with you more in detail about some of the plans I have for the chapter and any issues others may have faced so we know how to deal with them if we face them as well. And of other stuff... Me and the other guy think we may have atleast 6 that might be interested in joining, we're gonna contact them to find out.

Keith: Nice meeting you Sir. The ONLY club I've seen so far out here is Scion Evolution...and that's just one tC. I heard of two others being out here but havn't seen them. It's sad that there's so many Scions out here and none are modded or in clubs. I know there are some on SL, but there are others that have never even heard of SL before but mod their car too so its just reaching out. I went to VIP here last Saturday and had a blast, my car wasn't in the show, got there too late, but saw A LOT of tight rides and other groups but didn't talk to anyone unfornately. Supposedly the Pres.? I think of the Phoenix chapter was there...goes by "kiss" on SL with a green box, that's how my whole interest in Scikotics started really...b/c of a chick i was working with one day here on the base mentioned him...from her issue with her bald tC tires LMFAO.

Nothing in this club is mandatory other than following the few rules that we have(which you found already). You don't have to run a sticker if you don't want to. A lot of people don't run the large ones but will run a 12"-13" one but its up to you. We would like to for members to run them because it's a great way to get them club name out there more.
You can order vinyl here.....http://www.shop.graphixunderground.com/ just make sure to look at all the options price wise before ordering because they very.

For all the gear and clothes most chapters try to get a dealer sponsorship or something and have them help out. NorCal has just done it on there own. The chapter agrees on whatever and finds a shop to do it. Everyone does it different.

Thanks Chad! We have a meet tonight, gonna talk it over with them, see if any are interested. One guy is on the fence right now...he really doesn't like to be a label so if he doesn't where shirts or have to put a decal on then he's in for the most part...he wants his xB to be clean, its tinted out, BOP, smoked lights all around so I can see where he's coming from. I'll keep you guys updated on what goes on and if we end up trying to stand up a chapter. Thx again!

Um is that b/c you guys are close to us? I talked to most of the guys last night, two are in Scion Evolutions already, although I don't know if they even do anything, right now there's atleast 6 interested. This isn't something I want to rush, I want to make sure they all want to do this. The cool thing is, we would doing EXACTLY what we do now. We sit in a parking lot for like 5 hours..from 8pm til past midnight, and just B/S, no street racing or loud systems...just a bunch of guys talking about life, cars, and other crap. The only difference, being part of a free club and doing road trips :D I like the road trip part. Oh, and one of those 6 will have to be a groupie. He's an awesome kid, just started getting into cars a month ago, doesn't have a Scion, but loves hanging out with all of us, has a Super Charged Nissan Frontier, just bought his first mods for it...SRI for the charger, 12psi pulley, and an exhaust on the way. The one guy said he's in as long as he doesn't have to wear clothing that says Scikotics and he doesn't have to put a decal on his box. I figure as long as he is with us when we do meets, trips, or whatever, then he is still representing. His whole thing is on not wanting to be labeled as something so I can understand where he's coming from. If you guys have any questions/comments/concerns please address them to me :)

Sorry it's been a while since I proved an update to you guys. I've been extremely busy at work since I may be possibly changing to a different place. Between that and the other main guy having work conferences this month it's looks like we may not be able to actually get everyone together for a full/group decision. I want to make sure that it's in everyone's interest to do this. With that said, I'm still looking forward to standing up an LV chapter. Me moving won't be too much of an issue as I'll be in LV on the weekends hopefully, plus the others will be living here so we can still stay together like family :) If you have any questions about whats going on just feel free to ask me. We still got 4 peeps with a definite yes so far, but like stated wait til final decision and then we will progress to the next stage ;) Well take care fellas, later.

Are you referring to the LV chapter section once you get 4 people to sign up? If you are, I will create the section once the 4 sign up and it would fall under Nevada in the Western Region area.. :)

Sup Ninja! Yeah, you the "other main guy" LOLZ Right now I'm trying to get a grasp on everything at work since my supervisor is leaving. But my buddy with the goat wants to do some road trips like to mt. zion/ valley of fire that type of stuff just to do cruises and car pics so he'll probably be a "groupie" with Cody. We kinda need to all talk about this to make sure it won't fall on its face. Yeah, last night was a decent turn out. I'd say second biggest so far. Dude, today my goat buddy came over to fix his shifter and on the way to Walmart we saw a sign on base for an auto-x event so we went over to check it out and there was a Ferrari Enzo at it. It sounded so sick!!!!

OH, and Jeremy, for the $35K for a stock GTO, it's still 13.5 in the quarte mile. My 250HP tC can do that right now. And I've only added $10K to it. Could you imagine what I could do for another $10K to total $35K to have a STOCK GTO?

Besides, if I were to spend $35K on a new car, it would be an EVO which are in the 12s stock!
