antenna removal adding a shark fin

Hey guys I was wondering how I might remove my stock antenna on my xA. I was going to add one of those shark fin ones instead, so I don't have the RC car look anymore.

Read through that link on SL. Also noticed that there are some Carbon Fiber versions off the shark fin out there. All that I've found say that it's non functional (the CF ones) anyone know of any CF ones that ARE functional? or am I stuck with a colored one/wrapping it in fake CF Vinyl?

yes I did see the carbon fiber non functional ones. I was debating on getting one of those rather then spending the $70 on the real one. After looking at the right up though I do not see why we can't make a functional one out of the fake one. It just shows unscrewing the long antenna part and then putting the shark fine over that and screwing a washing to the inside of it. Looks like there was some copper wire on the inside of it as well.

I do not use my radio that much so I wouldn't mind losing it just to have the fin for $15 rather than $70
