So, I am getting close to adding some custom wheels and I want to finish my research with this question to you experts out there.
1...buy TRD factory rims and stick my new goodyears on them.
2...buy custom 15" rims and stick my new goodyears on them.
3...buy custom 16" rims and tires.
4...buy custom 17" rims and tires.
5...buy custom 18" rims and tires.
6...buy custom 19" rims and tires.
7...buy custom 20" rims and tires.
Along with this, I will be lowering it 2".
THANKS for your input.

I went with option 3. Still have a decent sidewall too.

Get 15"s or 16"s - nice wide ones and stretch the tires out a little bit. I love that look.

I was told they were a tad too big with a 2" drop...but this is why I started this...to get some REAL answers!
18" are not out of the question...now that you have stepped up!

I am running 18"x 7.5" offset +42 rims. Tires are toyo 215/35/18. Dropped 2" on goldline lowering springs. No rubbing EVER. Turn all the way right, all the way left, no issues.
So there you have it.

20's are going to rub, and I thought that was out of your criteria... Oh well. Go with the 18's my friend. You know it's the Hawtness

20's are too big on an xB in my opinion... maybe some day down the road if you take your xB off the highly modified deep end you can think going bigger James....like I said, stay with 18's!

I have been busy taking in the information and shopping around. I found some "Centerline" rims that I like, a TRD set that is cool and of course, Don's rims. I will look around some more and research lowering it the 2" and then make my mind up.
THANKS for everyone who shared their thoughts on this. I like to be well informed and move slowly on stuff like this.
Very soon...I will know WHAT I want to do.

The wheel question, I would guess, should be considered with the stiffies thread (http://www.scikotics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12201) I started.?
Don't they need to be matched? :-?

yups yups...love the fit...just get the fenders rolled...just make sure you get the wide 15x8s or more...no honda fitments.

What is involved in getting the fenders rolled? Does it mess the paint up? And does the 15X8 scrub if I drop 2" with GoldLine springs?

That is SHARP! Instead of hiding the rims up under...you have them sitting out there to be noticed!
Thanks for posting it up!

I"m dropped 2.5" up front and 2.2" on the back...you might get some minor paint chipping but it can get retouched and it is hardly noticable unless you look really really close.

You will have to be kind...cause my ride is still mostly stock! It is a 2006.5 xb with 8,800 miles on it and just some minor stuff done. TYC tails, Key Techniques keyhole covers and some other stuff, but not much more. I am researching what I want before making any rash decisions. That is why I had a few questions for you!
My site www.scionxb.org (http://www.scionxb.org) has me on the front page...and our chapter website www.scikotics-ecc.com (http://www.scikotics-ecc.com) has a nice photo gallery that has most of the members rides in it, plus a few others. If you have some time, check us out!

I looked over some of those just now...very nice too! Now I have 3 companies to research!
Does anyone have any complaints with any of these companies? Safe to give money to?
