double sided stickey foam and zip ties. If you have holes in the end of the cathode tube you can use those with zip ties, zip ties around the tub, and double sidded stickey foam for the ends. Mine haven't fallen once in 2 years

no, but I will actually be placing an order with them for more stuff soon. All cathodes are very very similar. What else were you wondering?

oh, yea like I said "if" you have holes in the ends.. most won't. Just double side foam them, and zip tie for extra str.

i have actually just used the double sided foam tape, 3M automotive extra super sticky. where i mounted them wouldnt allow for zip ties. same foam tape use for stuff on the outside like emblems and in engine bay.
i have not had a problem at all since i installed them.

yes the double sided foam itself is very strong. I used it to install a rather heavy (considering) control box for my underbody LED's, right to my lower dash. 2 years later, it still hasn't fallen off. I'm impressed.

i use the sticky stuff to hold mines up inside the car ... unfortunately the humidity here in florida makes them fall off all the time ... i wanna just screw em on but i dont feel like putting holes in my car

If your cathodes are falling off with just 3M stickey foam, then you need something else. You need to screw them into something/or use zip ties to keep them pressed against the tape. I'm sure you know this of course, there must just not be any easy way to accomplish this. I have no problems in the xB, but the different bodystyles are, well different, of course.

hey nick(or is that nate using the username :P) where are you putting them that they are falling off? i have noticed that on textured plastic it doesnt hold so well.
my back ones fall off a little but thats mostly because when i move my back seats it moves the transformer and pulls on them. or im messing with my cargo cover and i knock them off. im about to change them out though with LEDs because of the annoying transformer moving around and pulling them off like they are. i havent found a good spot to hid the transformer for where i want the light to come from
you can do is take a small drill bit and drill an angled hole on the end caps of the cathode, and then use pins or small nails and kinda hammer them in that way,

Yup, the Gray 3M exterior double sided tape works wonders, as do zip ties! I've used both in both my car and motorcycle, always held up great!

yea, nick, even after looking at your setup i still dont know why they arent holding. it looks like it should work fine and besides drastic (cement glue anyone?) i dunno what would work right there.

If you have any Armour All/cleaner on the plastic, the tape will not work. It has to be squeaky clean for the tape to "stick."
What color did you go with?

Yes - use water to clean off the textured plastic. Let it dry then try using the 3m sticky foam.
The Grey stuff stopped working for me - they kept falling off. This time I used the WHITE sticky foam - they're staying on decently now.

I just zipped tied mine under the dash, and on the passenger side i removed the plastic piece and zipped tied one to the brackets that held the piece in place

Rubbing alcohol will get ANYTHING super clean before applying adhesive materials such as sticky foam

I used the WHITE stuff too. I have WHITE double sided foam holding all kinds of stuff up. I am using it to hold my underbody LED controller up, it's pretty heavy, and it's never fallen.

The cathodes don't get really hot do they? They won't affect the sticky foam? I'm a noob to cathodes. Never dealt with them before.

Not a problem at all. Are you worried about them heating up the tape and catching fired? or the foam just losing sticki-ness? No need to worry about either.

3M makes an endless variety of tapes...here is the link (http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Manufacturing/Industry/Product-Catalog/Tapes/) TOAST...if you can see this site.
Since yours is holding strong, it could be good to point us all exactly to the right one.?

Those were basically what I was concerned about. Thanks man.
