Moved here  This really isnt a "Dear Jon" question.
Why would you want to move the door back?

WHy would you want the door back? Then it would hit the radio and not sit flush..
And the answer is no. Well you could but it wouldnt be functional

well, i figured it was a dear jon ?, because, the forum say's "ask jon ANYTHING"... but its ok....
and as for the sterio door.. i dont mean when its closed.. i mean, while its open... i have my flip out dvd player installed now... and with the door up... hte screen is an angle( still viewable from sitting in the car)... but if the door was a 1/2 inch or maybe even 5/8 of an inch back into the dash, it would be more then perfect.

When the door is closed does it touch the face of the stereo? If it doesn't just move the stereo forward some. That would be easy than trying to get the door to open more.

Yep just drill new holes on the bracket or move them to the next set back on the deck which will make the deck come out a bit more.

Yo Tyler, I have the Alpine IVA-D310, and its a flip out, my installer had to do it a lil bit custom for it to close, but its possible... I never close it though :)

he has a flip up. and it looks like you can't even see it and if you could it still looks not ideal.
its nearly impossible to use a flip out with the door. unless you modify or cut the door

Move the actual head unit and flip out to the LOWER section of the 2 slots, instead of the upper - you should clear now.

i just want to know how it "looks like you can't see it" ??
for everyone else... yea the deck is at the bottem... and i have no problem viewing the monitor in anyway... weather im in the front sits, or back seats.. or standing on the side of the car, or the back of the car....
with the screen out, its a slight angle... but still perfectly viewable from any angle....

Exactly... and when flipped up looks like a double din if you can draw the screen in like you could on the eclipses
