Hey all... I was hopeing to get some advice...

1. I got what look like water spots all over my hood... I've tried everything to get them off, but havn't had any luck... Anyone got any suggestions?

2. No matter what I do, I have streaky windows... A lil' worse on the inside than the out... I've tried Windex and Auto Windex, both with paper towels and a micro-fiber window cloth, but I still get ugly-ass streaks... Some help here?

3. And lastly my Scikotics decal has little bubbles in it cuz I was impatiant and put it on in the dark the night I got it... and advice on getting them out?

Sorry if any of these questions seem dumb, but I still feel like a newb [yeah, I used "newb"] when it comes to car care... Thx in advance for everyones help...

The mineral content in the water here in Tenn is high and I deal w/ water spots quite a bit. Get some 3M Finesse-It polish. The stuff works great.

As for the windows I started using Stoner's Invisible Glass...NO Streaks! You should be able to get it at AutoZone.

I'm not an expert on decals but there isn't a whole lot you can do other than try to work them out with a heavy plastic squeege and if that don't work you might try to pop a hole in the middle of the bubble with a VERY fine sewing needle.

For the water spots, try a clay bar, then polish it out with the 3M Finesse-it.

For the windows, Invisible glass is awesome!

Hey, thx for the advice guys... I'll try that Invisable Glass tomorrow if I can find it at AutoZone...
I've already clay bared my tC... As well has used paint cleaner and polished [all Meguier's products]... I'll give that 3M stuff a try if I can this weekend...
And for the decal, I've tried all that... I think I just did more damage, so whatever...
Thx again guys...

If you can't get the spots off with the 3M, then take it to a GOOD detailer, or body shop, and let them buff it out with the DA.

That 3M stuff is kinda hard to find. Check with a detailing shop or get it online. If you like the Invisible Glass, check out the other stuff Stoner makes.

the stuff we make is damn fine too... www.griotsgarage.com (http://www.griotsgarage.com) I've been using the product on my car LONG before I started working here. We sell a glass cleaner that is alcohol based so it leaves no streks.

As far as water spots, we have a fine hand polish kit that does the trick everytime.

PM me if you need more info and I can give you ording information.

I was looking through the GRIOT'S catalog that just arrived in the mail and they have this cool "clay" for conditioning the paint...I think.? Is this something to use on my xB? And what about fine scratches on a bop box...what would I order for that?

fine scratches? a little 3m extra cut compound and wax, just hand polish the compound in around the scratches, then wipe it off, that or 3m machine glaze, its not cheap I think its around $40 a bottle but you can't beat it

are you sure they are water spots and not acid rain spots? run your fingernail across the areas real gentle like if your fingernail catches and it feels gritty, it ain't comin out without a repaint, sorry if thats what it is, I'v gotta get my hood painted soon because of this

Thanks, jwaj2002!

Is this a product that needs to be color matched to my BOP...or is it a one-size-fits-all kind of product?

My BOP BOX is about leave the infant stage and become a ONE YEAR OLD. I have never let anything touch it...car wash systems, rags...nothing.

I have pressured washed it and used the triple-foam, liquid wax, clear coat and stuff like that. I do this two - four times per week. I am now wondering about the long term affect...such as build-up and my one tiny scratch by my door handle. I have two or three primer pings or the front of the hood from road rocks hitting me on the interstate cruising at 80-90mph. I was told to fix those with a product from paintscratch.com - but I haven't bought anything yet.

Thanks for your help! :coolp:

Thanks for all the input, guys...
I tried the fingernail check... I didn't notice any thing... But these spots are all over my hood and ugly has hell... I'm contemplating getting it repainted anyways, along with my front bumper; I got speed chips like crazy on both :( ...
