backup cameras

whos got em and which one are you using?

ive got a

Pioneer D3
1 7" screen in my rear view mirror
2 8" screens 1 in each sunvior...

what im wanting to do is get a back up camera that DOES NOT require any cutting of my car and have it set so that when i back up the D3 and the rear view mirror switch to the back up, but the sunvisors stay on what they were on... can i do that?

i know i can do the D3 and all the screens attached to it.
i know i can do just the rear view screen...

but can i do the D3 +1 but not all screens?

anyone done anything like this before?

I have one in each of my RS's my 3 & 4 in the rear wiper hole, eBay specials.

My RS 3.0 has the inferred night vision camera. I had to file the hole a wee bit bigger for it to fit. It has the rear view mirror camera with two video inputs, one for a source input, the other goes to the rear camera. It has a reverse light power wire that switches it over, or on if its not already, when the reverse lights come on.

My RS 4 had a smaller drop in no drilling or hogging out the wiper hole required. Its not a great night camera, fine for day time. My head unit has a separate review camera input jack, and reverse wire input, so it was all plug and play.

I can try to find the link to them on ebay, but if you just do a search you'll find a ton.

The review mirror screen and camera, was a great purchase. If you get that it will do the automatic change over when backing up. Not sure how you would split into other screens though.

A video signal amplifier. They come with all different amounts of out puts. This has 6. They have 8 and 10 also.

i know about the ebay cameras, just wondering which is better.. (i dont have a wiper hole on my tC) i was thinking about one of those plate frame camera or something...

and i ordered a video amp when i ordered my screens. :thanks:

really im just wondering how to only use 2 of the 4 screens and have the other 2 still show the movie or ipod screen/whatever... even if i lose sound thats fine, but i would like the video if for nothing other then the "wow" factor.
