im looking in getting a amp from a friend its an 800 watt boss 2 chan. would i need to upgrade my speakers or would the stock pioneeres in my xb push it ok????:???:

I would say it would push them for a sec. 800 watts you should be using on subs not mids or highs.

Most mids and highs only run at 2-60 watts RMS (180-250 watts peak power)
If it was a 800 watt 4 channell you would be okay depending on the speakers. I'm not sure what the stock ones can handle. Might want to find a 100w x 4 ch amp.... I'm not the greatest with pairing the equipment so hopefully others will chime in.

800 two chan thats 400 per speaker thats way to much...
ITs a sub amp..
Boss amps are known for over heating.. I use to have one..

They have good mids highs and subs and they sale amps.. They do package deals and if you call and ask for Chris aka Mandos and tell him your with scikotics he can help you out a bit too.

Yeah call the boys at ED , they have the best bang for the buck and they are very helpfull with what you need and can afford . and they are great guys.

well i found the boss for 65 bucks thats why i was gonna get it but if they over heat then nevermind that lol yhea its like new for 65 so it didnt seem to be a bad idea

and Audiobahn intake series amps have a tendency to overheat too. :dots:
