Aparrently they don't have a governor on them, if they do is higher than 125. Yes I said it a SOLID 125 and still pulling it out. I had to shut down because of the poor upcoming road conditions. Not bad for the new box. :cop:

Ya I want to get oit out on a better road a see what it can do. I put the homegrown intake on it and have done some exhaust work to it so I think it will do even better.

I've had mine at 115mph and it was wanting me to give it more gas, but I came up to a highly patrolled stretch of freeway and had to slow down. You get one of those babies turbo'd and they would be sicker than crap!

it's the same engine as the tC - if you get up to 127-130 that's when the governor will kick in.

Yea, since it is the same engine as the tC, I would imagine the ECU is pretty similar. I would be willing to bet money that the xB2's have the same 127mph speed limiter on them as the tC's have.

It actually cuts out at 127, but at that speed, the speedometer tends to be a little off. Scions can not go over the 127mph limit without out some sort of speed limiter remover software. That is a fact.
However, I really hope you don't have scikotics stickers on your car. It is never ok to be driving that fast on public roadways. When you have scikotics vinyls on your car, you need to represent scikotics in a good way, not being stupid and driving that fast down public roads. Keep it to the track if you want to go fast.

Hence the "don't try this at home" and my digital speedo did say 134 when it governed down...I agree, NEVER act a fool weather you have stickers or not, this is dangerous and never be tried unless you know what your doing and are somewhere when you can LEGALLY do this, as was I...

Cool.. yea i had mine to 121 the other day and it was still pulling and i was really impressed with how quiet and smooth it still felt for a cheap eco box..
my old 02 focus would hit limiter at 107..it drove me crazy

I had the governor deleted and i can do 135 on the Muskogee Turnpike until the car starts to shake on the stock suspension, NEED TRD!!! I think that the 140 on the spedo is possible tho so an xB should be no different to do.

The xB is a little heavier so it won't go quiet as fast as the tC can.

Yeah ive got up to around 170... but i was in canada so thats kilometers, i switched back to mph just to see what i was "really" doing and it was around 110, those numbers might be a little off so dont get all "170 metric doesnt equal 110 US on me."

I have had my car on radar at 130, and that was an exact speed. not bad for a toaster baby

I have maxed mine out a few times at 128 on the digi, but I have no stickers and drive extra late at night when there is no traffic. I have TRD springs, TRD stabilizer, and TRD rear sway and it handles like a dream.
