:?: Soon, I will be ready to get some rims for the box and don't know where to go. Can somebody point me in the right direction? I was told that only certain rims could be used on the xB. Something about the offset needing to be matched for optimal ride. What's your thoughts?

many of the sites you buy rims from online have fitment calculators. all you have to do is put in "scion xb" and then they will show you only rims/tires that fit your car. I bought my 18's from bigwheels.net and they have just the fitment calc. i am talking about. my rims are 18's, think they are 7.5 inches wide, tires are 225/35/18 I believe. My xb is lowered 2 inches, and I have no rubbing issues. I think most people riding on 18's, lowered or not, will tell you the same thing: no rubbing issues.

I really like that tirerack.com site 'cause they let you see the rim on a Scion xB! That is way cool! I am going to check out edgeracing.com as well.
As for those calculators...:book::book::book:...I do not really know what they want from me! I get some of it, but as for relying on MY data to get the right rim:!:
It sounds like Toast gave me some of numbers I didn't know. But what about the offset? And If I didn't lower it two inches, would I add that two inches to the wheel size and get 20" or go with the 18"? And is 7.5 the widest size before scrubbing sets in?
Thanks for the sites and help!:thanks:

Don't roll on 20s unless you don't plan on actually driving it much. They will not fit well and will ride worse. Some guys have made it work though. I wouldn't go larger than 18". The offset you're going to look for will be around 30 - 35. They will be somewhat hard to find because most have offsets for Hondas (40 - 45). The higher the number, the less the tires stick out. If the offset is too high, the rims will rub on the inside of the fender. If the offset is too low (0) they will likely rub on the outside of the fender. There are alternatives to make high and low offset rims work though. You can get shims or spacers that will push the rear wheels out or camber kits to tip the top of the wheel in. SportMax makes a lot of wheels w/ Scion friendly offsets, so I'd suggest checking them out. You can pick them up from Edge Racing or some Scion type shops that know exactly what will fit without issues (Bbist comes to mind). Good luck.
