I'm a GM tech and found out most of this technology is the same. This might be posted here already but couldn't find it.
After you disconnect your battery usually ecu resets and lost its idle
So reconnect battery when ready.
1. Turn key to ON engine OFF position and count 5 seconds. Turn key off
2. Turn key to ON engine OFF position and count 10 seconds. Turn key off
3. Turn key to ON engine OFF position and count 15 seconds. Turn key off.
That resets the IAC and should have correct idle off the bat so don't have to fight with crap idle till it resets while driving. So before you even start the car do that and the IAC will reset. I did it without reseting that and idled like crap than tried it again with what I do here at work and no more starting with crap idle.
