Okay,
I'll need to give some background here to explain the situation. this is my wife's brand new '06 xA and it was all i could do to talk her into letting me lower the car at all. she wants very few mods and would be all too happy to keep the car bone-stock but if it were were up to me, i'd put some tanabe DF 210's, some 18" rims and 35 series tires just like i've got on my xB.

she's not going to have any of that so i've got to find a moderate spring set to keep her happy and still make the car look a little less like an off-road vehicle.

add to that the fact that i won a gift certificate from ZPI at Assylum and that narrows my spring search down to these two:

Tein H-Tech Springs
1.1" drop front
1.1" drop rear
retail $183.00

and

B&G S2 Sport Springs
1.25" drop front
1.25" drop rear
retail $206.25

so my question is;
do any of you have any experience with these two spring sets and, if so, what are your oppinions of them?

which set offers the most quality and the most comfortable ride?

i have tanabe df210's on mine they are low and make the car look good but......the ride kinda sucks, i also run 17's with low pro's

yeah, that's kinda what i was saying....i've got DF210's on my xB and the ride is hard as a rock (of course, i've got 18's and 35 series tires) and that's why she won't let me go with anything that aggressive on her car. i've narrowed down the springs i am considering to the two in the first post and am hoping someone can give me some feedback on those two in particular.
thanks for the contribution tho, all input is appreciated!!

I know you didn't put these as an option, but the TRD's are a good spring to lower your car, but not make the suspension rock hard. Me and some other people lowered the fiance's xA about a month ago on the TRD's. It is a nice subtle drop. Not slammed, but lowered enough to where it doesn't look like a monster truck. She says the ride quality actually improved. Plus, I think they are cheaper than the options you listed.

okay, so since it was on ZPI's dime, i decided to do a little trail blazing.....

i couldn't find anyone who had any experience with the B&G springs (including the guys at ZPI) so i thought about it and thought about it and decided to go with the B&Gs.

 i know.

a few of the reasons i decided to go with the B&G's are:

A) i figured someone needs to be the first to test them out and since ZPI's paying for them, might as well be me.

B) they were about and 1/8 of an inch lower than the Teins and 1/4 inch lower than the TRD's and i want to try to get away with as much as she will let me. :hiding:
C) she liked them because they are RED like her car...

anyway, once i get and install them, i'll post some pictures and a report on what i think overall.

thanks to all those that offered advice!

Prolly a lil late on this one. I have the H-Techs and will have them installed this week (try to anyways) I did a lotta investigation and with the stock shocks, the H-Techs will give me the ride I'm looking for...

Don't you know looks are more important than performance. Your wife hasn't trained you very well ... yet ... :rofl2:

The xA looks 100% better lowered. My wifes xA got a set of used Tanabes intalled last week. No more monster truck stance. Hell, even the stock 15s look good now.

H-Techs on Wed night, went on a lil weekend excursion, did a lotta drivin.
The exit ramps are so much better taken, winding roads seem to nto wind as much. Ride is not bad at all !
