I am working with some friends from the SCCA , and have organized a afternoon of racing at an indoor karting facility in Rohnert Park. These karts are pretty badass, and being electric they excellerate quicker than the gas karts we've raced in the past. They reach a top speed of 45 mph, and on the tight and twisty course they have there, it's all you can handle!
I have a seperate roll call going on the "Left Coast Formula Car Board" >http://norcalfv.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=887&page=1 and anyone here interested can put their name on this one. I am hoping for 50+ people, we always get 40 or more with just the racers group, so anyone adding from here will just make it sweeter. This is a great chance to race wheel to wheel with seasoned road racers, so come on out and wear yourself out! In 60 laps you will be worn out..
So the event is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th at 1:00pm.
Up to 20 people= $75.00 ea.
25 or more= $65.00 ea.
30 or more= $55.00 ea.
We usually get 30-40 people.
Please arrive by 1:00pm for drivers meeting. First session starts at 1:30pm!
Here's how it will work, everyone will get;
1- 12 lap practice session
2- 15 lap qualifying sessions
1- 20 lap race
60+ laps total
Drivers will be seeded in groups according to experience and speed, with the races of about 9-10 karts each. With 2 qualifying sessions you will have a chance to move up to a faster group.
These events have always been really fun, and many familiar names and faces will be there. Helmets are available for rent at the facility if needed.
