Not sure if its the hatch or maybe the ceiling? But when im driving i hear rattling possibly from wiring moving around (after shaking loose from the subs).. i'm sure i'll figure it out once i install the CF hatch this weekend.. but i just thought i'de see if anyone else had this problem?!

It could be the hatch itself. try putting some foam insulation on the 2 catch points on the sides of the hatch.

i can use r-blox/dynamat inside there right? I'm going to do that as soon as i get the other hatch on.

My tC has been doing this for a very long time. I have taken every panel off starting behind the driver and passenger seats all the way back including the hatch. I wrapped all my wiring up to make sure that wasn't my rattle. The only part I didn't take off was the headliner and that is where my rattle is coming from. I tried to take it off but i didn't want it to break so I stopped. I took the two clothes hangers off and undid the rear dome light assy and started trying to get it off from the back but it just would not come out. I think the rattle on mine is wiring runnin back to the rear dome or something in the rear sunroof.

i guess it could be my headliner.. but its still coming from the back somewhere.. sounds like wiring or something is loose. When i have my CF hatch put on i'll have them check that out. Also, i think the hatch itself is rattling. Sounds like its all the way in the back. (could also be the spoiler).. that will be gone soon anyways.

its wiring that goes to the license plate lights, if its not that its the exhaust heat shield.

those were the two for me

ya, there seems to be some in the back too.. but the one(s) i always here are toward the back of the head liner.. right before OR at the top of the hatch.. i'll have to have someone sit in the back and find it while im driving!

the weird thing is, it only does it when im driving.. the speakers dont cause it to rattle.. so its gotta be bigger wiring that moves when the road is bumpy or something.

R-Blox (sound deadening) from behind the front seat, back to the rear of the car.. (sides and all) including where the tire sat... DONE

it kinda sounds like its behind the rear dome light... but i haven't done the R-blox on any of the hatch except for right under the spoiler. could just be that i need to take the spoiler off.. or its loose.

dj short-e mine was doing the same thing and its at the back of my headliner I am sure there's a wiring harness that runs there for the rear dome light, keep in mind sounds can transfer. I thought for the longest time it was coming from my hatch and after I disassembled everything and wrapped everything and reinstalled then test drove still same thing so its definitely in my headliner the sound just echos making it seem like its coming from other panels.

Does it happen when you sunroof is open? Cause if it does, I can guarrentee (spelling) that its the plastic or whatever track that the window glides on......dont know what its called, but its black inside where the track is!! Mines been doing it for awhile now, and my GF was in the car the other day ans I was getting so :censored: PISSED OFF I told her to investigate while I drive, and shur nuff she found it and grabbed it, and it stopped, let go and it did it again!! SO.....ty that, worked for me!! Just dont know how to fix it now!!
